Went out this morning and headed straight to the summit on Mt. Diablo x North Gate then clockwise on the Morgan Territory loop.

They say (feels like I’m introducing The Stig) anti is harder but the descent is nasty because the road is all tore up. I rather deal with that road going up so that I can bomb down the smooth side.

I also helped someone with a flat on my way back.

Went back out to Mt. Diablo yesterday evening to ride with DiabloScott and his friends.

Scott rides a very clean Klein Quantum Pro and let me in on his sekret post devoted to it! Worth the read and a bookmark!

Had a great time but couldn’t stay too long as I had to hustle back home because a chorizo burrito was waiting for me!

Climbing higher than the clouds this morning.

Side note, on the way to the north side of the mountain I was chatting with another cyclist who was going to ride up the south side to the junction.

On my way down from the summit, I see him reach the junction so we both stop and chatted for a bit. We chuckled at the odds of meeting up again.

Kismet!

darkniterisesagain asked:

How are the roads in your area: pool table smooth or broken with chip & seal? What tires do you use on your road bike?

nokia8860 Answer:

The roads I ride are generally slurry seal roads littered with potholes and utility covers. Your typical stuff.

I run Schwalbe One Tubeless on my road bike.

If I can be of any additional help, let me know!
